Community

“It takes a village to raise a child.”

Since the school’s beginnings in 1915, the community has played an important role in the success of its students and programs.

Local neighborhoods and businesses, generations of families, volunteer groups, and individuals like yourself contribute their time, talents, and financial gifts to make St. Rita School for the Deaf a place where students from all walks of life are given opportunities to be educated, develop a language and become successful in whatever path they choose.

Community support is essential to every activity at the school. Whether you volunteer, learn sign language, sponsor an event or program, buy raffle tickets, or make a monetary donation; your support is crucial to the development of each child’s future.

St. Rita School for the Deaf welcomes and encourages people from the community to take a tour of the school to see what a difference your time, talent, and financial gifts can make in the life of a child.
