Obituary of Timothy (Tim) Hodges
January 4, 1980 - July 13, 2024
Timothy (Tim) Hodges was called to heavenly home to play disc golf and swap jokes with Jesus on July 13, 2024.
Though he spent the last decade of his life in Cincinnati, Ohio, Tim’s home was in Winston Salem, NC, where he grew up. He was born to Dr. John and Katherine Hodges on January 4, 1980.
Tim is survived by his wife of 13 years, Bethany, his children, Abigail and Willard, mother, Katherine, brother, Adam, uncle and aunt, Leonard and Joanna, and cousin Jay Hodges. Tim is preceded in death by his father, Dr. John Hodges.
Tim is a graduate of North Carolina School for the Deaf, Class of 1998, and he obtained two college degrees: from National Technical Institute for the Deaf in 2004 and a second degree from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro in 2011. He worked at St. Rita’s School for the Deaf in Cincinnati, Ohio for 10 years.
If you knew Tim, you knew Jesus. He lived his life for Christ and gave himself up to him as evident by the testimony of many family and friends. He taught Bible study on Friday nights for a Bible study group in Greensboro for many years. He carried that practice on to different churches where he would teach and tell God's Word. He was a member of Vineyard Cincinnati Church in Ohio and led many to Christ with his gentle spirit, love for people, and witty humor.
Tim was a loving husband, a devoted father and a faithful Christian. He will be dearly missed.

A visitation for Tim will be held Saturday, July 20, 2024 from 1:00 PM-2:00 PM at St. Rita School for the Deaf, 1720 Glendale Milford Rd, Cincinnati, OH 45215 with a memorial service to follow at 2:00 PM, led by Frank Griffin.
Second Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, July 27, 2024, with visitation from 2:00 PM-3:00 PM at Life Community Church Lifehouse, 4900 W Wendover Ave, Jamestown, NC, 27282, with a memorial service to follow at 3:00 PM, led by Frank Griffin.
