Financial Assistance

Financial Policy

St. Rita School for the Deaf is tuition based, non-profit school that operates under the Archdiocese of Cincinnati and accredited by the State of Ohio. In some cases, local school districts may fund all or part of your child’s education at St. Rita.

To begin the placement process with your school district you should:

1. Contact the Director of Special Education at your local school district and let him/her know you would like the district to consider St. Rita for your child’s education.

2. Request a copy of your three-year evaluation or ask that one be initiated if it does not already exist.

3. Ask for a review of the existing or have a new Individual Education Plan (IEP) written if one is not in place.

4. Request that a decision on placement be made by the local school district in a timely manner.

St. Rita administrative staff will be glad to work with your local district to assist in the placement process.  The school district has the final decision over payment for placing your child at St. Rita.

If the local school district opts not to place your child at St. Rita, financial assistance for those who select St. Rita without district support is available.  Financial aid forms are only sent to parents after the child has been accepted into the program.  You must:

1. Contact Angie Frith, President, (513) 771-7600 and fill out the financial aid form through FACTS management.  Click on the link below

Financial aid is determined by need.  Parents must reapply each year.  80% of the school’s annual operating budget is contingent on the generosity of its donors both large and small. Over ninety-five percent of the students attending St. Rita School for the Deaf receive tuition assistance.  The majority of tuition assistance is provided by the fundraising efforts of St. Rita School for the Deaf.  Tuition assistance is available on a yearly basis.
